Family Olympics by Erin DiCamillo

This past Sunday, some of the brotherhood ventured off to Whipple Dam for Family Olympics. Now that I am getting ready to graduate and have been looking back on my experience with Alpha Phi Omega, I can say that this was one of my favorite and most memorable fellowship events. All fellowship events are awesome, especially when Winslow, Nolan, and Nick are cooking the rest of us amazing burgers and hot dogs. However, this event was even more awesome because the Castor Family came out on top winning 4 out of the 5 events! Lauren K, Abby, and myself did an amazing job to help out our family who has been struggling during the Burlingames. We started off strong with the 3-legged race and went out with a bang during the egg-toss. I must say we had one tough egg! The entire experience was great, because the Olympics always bring the brotherhood together even though we are all competing against one another. Everyone supports each other and it’s nice to see people cheer you on even though we are in different families. Overall, I had a blast and I just wanted to say Go Castor! You never know we may surprise you!
