Friday Night Lights Out With The Brothers by Zureen Zolkefli

Every Friday, I am looking forward for something. Not partying, but rather playing switch off light
with my APObrOs in Friday Night Lights Out (FNLO). This is a project that was initiated in December
2005 under the direction of Emily Hoberg, former president of the chapter. After being divided into
groups, as usual, we walked to the buildings that we were assigned to. There were Sabrina, Lauren,
Christian and Nate in my group. Spending time with the brothers and catching up what they did last
winter break was awesome. I like this service because I got to tour Penn State and discover new
buildings. While volunteering, we had to count how many lights we switched off. The Council of Lion
hearts needs this information for their record. In one classroom, we switched off about ten lights.
What more in a building. In my opinion, this should not be a volunteer work, but rather a routine
that all Penn State students should be involved in. Just imagine how many can we saved in dollars if
we do this every day. Most of the time, we talked about how reckless the students are when leaving
the classroom. I wonder, am I one of them too?
