"It Gets Better" videos started roaming around 2010 when many gay teenagers have
committed suicide because of anti-gay bullying. In the fall of 2010, Tyler Clementi, a first-year
student at Rutgers University, only couple of hours away from Penn State, jumped off a bridge
because of cyber bullying by his roommate and hall mate. Many openly gay individuals,
celebrities, and political people like the President have made "It Gets Better" video. "It Gets
Better" videos pretty much say "hang in there, because in time everything in your life will be
Recently, IFC and Pan-Hellenic fraternities and sororities have made their own version
of "It Gets Better" video. APO not being in those councils, have decided to make one of our

Even though I am not out to my family, I came out to all of my friends here at Penn State
and reactions of them have been positive. I pledged APO openly gay and everyone seemed to be
fine with my sexuality. The brothers definitely appreciated the same values we highly think of
(LFS yall :p ) Making this video for youths that may be having a hard time in school gave me a
chance to look back in the days of me being in the closet and how I felt like I was living a lie
because of my fear of rejection. However, brothers of APO accepted me as a family no matter
