Last month before break we had the opportunity to write letters to the
soldiers, which I feel is always something they will enjoy so I gladly do it whenever I
get the chance to. As we sat around laughing and joking, per usual when we all get
together, we also wondered what to write. Some of our letters had funny little quips
in them and others had serious sentiments, but all of us realized that what we were
doing, no matter how small the gesture is, makes a huge difference in their lives. Our
letter writing had me feeling grateful for the family I have, at home and up here. My
APO family is so important to me and I couldn’t imagine life without my brothers. As
I sit writing this at the end of the semester I know that many of our brothers are
moving on to greater things and I will miss them dearly, because without each and
every one of my brothers in the greatest family every I wouldn’t enjoy it nearly as
much. So as much as these soldiers may miss their families, I know I will miss my
family as more of them move away and move on to greater things and move away. I
wish my whole family the best and hope their future holds nothing but the best for
