Nathan is a neophyte in Alpha Phi Omega, meaning he pledged last spring. He’s a junior majoring in economics. He says he joined APO “to serve [his] community”, and also because Christian was his roommate and had been telling him to join since freshman year. Nathan is from Reading, PA, and has two brothers, Ryan and Andrew. His brother Ryan is now a freshman here at Penn State and from what I can tell, they are very close. In high school, he ran cross country and track and also swam. He also enjoys the show Workaholics, and South Park. Watching documentaries is also something he enjoys.

Nathan is currently an RA in Tener in East Halls, 8th floor. His advice to everyone is “don’t do cocaine”.  Thank you, Nathan. Also, “you get out of life what you put into it.” There we go. He Last year, he also served on a THON Finance committee! He enjoys going on runs, despite his busy schedule. If able, (even if not,) he often will engage in conversations with people in German, particularly Christian. If you haven’t heard them go at it before, make sure you’re around sometime when that happens – it’s something worth hearing.

Even though it may not be the best family, Nathan is an active member in the Pollux family. His big is past fellowship chair Jon Rees, and even though Jon graduated, they still keep in contact. Nathan also had a twin, Kate, who (sadly?) is back in Australia now. Nathan’s pledge class was very close and him and Kate got along quite well. Luckily, Nathan’s grandbig Colin didn’t graduate quite yet, so Nathan didn’t have to spend a semester being alone in his family line. Family reveal is tomorrow and Nathan will surprise his little with candy, a well written note and a creamery gift card! What a great big.

He doesn’t have a position this semester, but he’s an active brother and you can find him at various service and fellowship events. If you haven’t gotten to know him yet, you should! He’s sarcastic, funny, fun-loving, thoughtful and one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. If you ever don’t see him at an event or around, check Tener! I’m sure the RA life loves visitors. (:
