As some of you may know I have lived with Sabrina for 3 years now. Most of you know the big things about Sabrina’s life: She’s from Jersey, is OBSESSED with London, and many more. I took the time to ask her a few questions about APO and some fun questions of course. It’s important to know that your president thinks that APenguindOg (ß yes she did that) is the best animal ever!

What has your favorite service project been?

My favorite service project was completed my pledging semester, when the brotherhood went to Braddock, PA to build a park. The town had been abandoned after a steel mill closed down, and our project was part of the mayor's efforts to repopulate the area. Not only was this project a lot of fun, but it really exemplified the power of service. We saw the physical transformation of the grounds as we worked and got to meet many members of the community who were very grateful for what we were doing.

What is your favorite part about being President?

Representing Alpha Beta is definitely my favorite part about being the president. I absolutely love our chapter and being President is something that I've always wanted. I get to work with everyone in the fraternity and see how all aspects of our organization grow over the course of the semester. I love that I am in a position to make a strong impact on the chapter and that it's my job to make sure that everyone else has the chance to leave his or her own mark as well.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

My most embarrassing moment definitely happened at the 80th Anniversary Banquet, and I'm sure many of you already know what I'm talking about. Brittany Dudas, the 80th Chair, asked me to be the MC for the night. The banquet was filled with brothers and alumni, and I was SO nervous. Well, it showed, because I got right up to the mic to start introductions and "Hi, I'm Sabrina Galli, the current President --- NO I MEAN SECRETARY" spilled right out of my mouth. I was mortified.

If a penguin walked into our meeting with a sombrero on what would he say and why would he be there?

Pingüino de ruido.

If you could pick two animals to morph together what would you pick and what would you name it?

I would pick a penguin and a puppy. A penguin because I think that they are really cool animals and don't get enough credit, solely because they walk funny. Also because according to the previous question, they walk around in sombreros. (Fun fact - My friends in high school used to call me a penguin because I walk with my feet really turned out. Maybe that's why I'm so sensitive towards them...) A puppy (or I guess a dog) because they're the cutest and the most loyal. I hear that penguins are pretty loyal too, although I've personally never met one. I'm not sure what kind of climate this morphed animal would live in, but I think ideally it'd be a pet. I would name it APenguindOg.

If you had unlimited funds what service project would you do?

I would definitely try to do a project with low-income communities across the U.S. We could send our brothers out to different states to tutor in low-income school districts and plan extracurricular activities with the students. Maybe we could add in service projects to fix up the neighborhoods -- for example, rebuilding a park like we did in Braddock, PA. We could even get the students involved with helping out around the community! I also think this project would be great to do oversees in developing countries, but I suppose we could start in the U.S.!

Hope you all learned a little more about our dear old President! Remember in the words of Sabrina “Everyone takes something really significant from this fraternity, you just have to find what it is!”
