Pancake dinner by Becca Rickard

Bananas, chocolate chips, and M&Ms galore! The marketing committee held a pancake dinner last
week and it was a great success. It was so much fun to hang with everyone at the Abba Java House.
Kira, Dave, Maria, Sami, and Paul all gave fabulous performances while we ate our pancakes. Matt
Winslow showed off his cooking skills by playing chef for the night. His pancakes were amazing!! I think
the best part of the night had to be the pancake eating contest. I competed, but quickly dropped out
after five pancakes. Nolan was the big winner, eating a total of fourteen pancakes. Fourteen!! Andrew
Ma and Nick Carboni were a close second tying at twelve pancakes. Overall, I thought it was a successful
event. We brought in new people who loved the pancakes and it was great to have some fellowship
with lots of the brothers. I would definitely suggest including an event like this next semester and to
improve the turn out even more I would say we should have brothers bring at least one friend to the
event.
